This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Vestal is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Vestal follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We LOVE this place. We happened upon it while traveling home and now drive 45 minutes to enjoy the food, since itβs the best in our area. The buffet is so good and sometimes even has samosas! And they bring you fresh naan! The selection is always so good and has multiple dishes that we absolutely adore. Absolutely the best!

I'm visiting my family in Vestal, and chose Royal Indian for our dinner out mostly because I saw they had soya chaap on the menu, which I love but can't find on the menu at any restaurants where I'm currently living. We ordered takeout from them a few years ago during COVID, but this was our first time dining in. The restaurant was tidy and I liked their music (I think mostly older Bollywood music), but there was an alarm in the kitchen that was beeping continuously the entire time we were there, and since we were sitting near the kitchen entrance it felt like it was right in my ear, which was a little irritating. The waiter was very polite though, which made it a pleasant experience being there. I ordered the soya vindaloo, had a bit of vegetable biryani, and we got a bread basket for the table which included plain and garlic naans, onion kulcha, and roti. The soya vindaloo was okay. I don't want to say it was bland but it was much milder than I was expecting. I ordered it with medium spice and I wonder if it would've been better at "hot" or even "very hot". I would've described the spice level that I got as medium-mild. The veggie biryani was tasty, but oily for my taste. This di

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our drive from New York City to Niagara Fallsβand what a pleasant surprise it was! We arrived around 2:30 PM and were informed that the buffet would close at 2:45 PM, so we chose it over the Γ la carte menu. To our delight, even after 3 PM, a staff member kindly checked in with us before officially closing the buffet. That level of attentiveness truly stood out and made us feel valued. As for the foodβevery dish on the buffet was absolutely delicious. My parents, who are visiting from India and have a strong preference for authentic flavors, thoroughly enjoyed the meal too. If we find ourselves on that route again, weβll definitely make this βhappy accidentβ a planned stop next time!

It's a lovely dine-in spot with fairly good food. The standout dishes for me were the delicious Paani Puri and Cauliflower Parantha. Just make sure to let the host knows of your taste so they can make it accordingly. Our host, Deep, was exceptionally nice and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Plus, the ample parking was a bonus. I'll definitely make it a point to stop by again if I'm in the area.
